Mena Plumbing repaired a water heater in a commercial living community. Swing check valve on the left side of the heater was removed at customer’s request. Diagnosed the damper inoperative on residents’ water heater so a jumper was installed on electronics of the damper. According to the Texas State Plumbing Board, any water heater installed by a plumber has strict rules to follow that are designed for the safe operation to heat water to a desired temperature. This repair was successful as the water heater started igniting.
